Privacy Policy

This explains what FiveWatch collects, what it deliberately doesn't, and how data about your players is handled.
The short version: we don't store video or audio of anyone. Live streams pass through our server and are discarded; clips are recorded in your own browser and saved straight to your device. We keep only the minimum needed to run accounts and connect your server.
What we collect
- Account details — your Discord user ID and display name, obtained when you sign in with Discord, plus which roles you hold in our Discord server (this is how we know your subscription is active).
- Server details — the name you give a linked server, its generated key, and the Discord IDs of staff you grant access to.
- Live session data — while your server is connected, it reports the current player list (name, in-game session ID, and in-game position for the map). This is held in memory only, refreshes continuously, and is discarded when your server disconnects or our service restarts. It is never written to disk.
- Technical logs — standard server logs (IP address, timestamps, errors) used to keep the Service running and secure, kept for a limited period.
What we do not collect
- No stored video or audio. Streams are relayed live and never recorded on our servers.
- No passwords — sign-in is handled entirely by Discord.
- No payment details — all payments are handled by Tebex and their payment processors. We never see your card information.
- Nothing from a player's computer outside the game — no desktop, no other applications, no files.
Recordings (clips)
When you record a clip, it is captured by your own web browser and downloaded to your device. It does not pass through or get stored on our servers. Once it's on your machine, you are responsible for it — including storing, sharing, and deleting it lawfully.
Roles and responsibility for player data
Server operators decide who to monitor and why; in data-protection terms, the operator is the controller of their players' data and FiveWatch acts as a processor on their behalf. If you operate a server, you are responsible for disclosing monitoring to your players and for handling any requests they make about their data. If you are a player and have questions about being monitored, contact the operator of the server you play on.
Who we share data with
We don't sell data. We share only with the providers needed to run the Service:
- Discord — for sign-in and role checks.
- Tebex — for subscriptions and payments.
- Our hosting provider — the server infrastructure the Service runs on.
We may also disclose information if legally required to do so.
How long we keep things
Account and server records are kept while your account exists. Live player data is never persisted. Technical logs are rotated and deleted on a rolling basis. If you delete a linked server, its key and staff list are removed immediately.
Security
Traffic to and from the Service is encrypted in transit. Access to a server's streams is limited to its owner and the staff they explicitly authorise, enforced by scoped, short-lived access tokens. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
Your choices
You can stop using the Service at any time by cancelling your subscription and removing the resource from your server. To request deletion of your account data, contact us through our Discord support server.
Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above will change when we do.
